What are your thoughts on the government shutdown?

lt larissaI think it’s a really immature move to try and get attention and create policy change that’s not even possible. I think it’s a last-ditch effort to get attention, mostly, and it’s not going to provide any results for the GOP, even though it’s causing many people to suffer.

lt shannonI think it’s childish. If you want to divide it into Democrats versus Republicans I think the Republicans are throwing a temper tantrum, and no one’s going to do anything about it, which sucks and everybody else suffers. But we kind of already know that.

lt craigI think we’re being held hostage by reactionary forces. The Tea Party, or whatever they are.

lt sharronIt’s a shame that we have to be under control of stupid people. It’s all a ploy for having power when they were in the minority, and that’s not okay.

lt joeAll of us are affected by the federal government, and while some functions of it are shut down we may experience it personally. The longer it’s shut down the more we will come to realize the impact it has upon us and the people we love. I would like a greater awareness about how the government functions support or deter from our lives, and therefore I’m supportive of the shutdown.
