What’s the stupidest thing you did as a kid?

lt joelWhen I was 8 years old, I went to the refrigerator to get  a drink out of the milk carton and I pulled the refrigerator into my face and knocked off my tooth. Straight up.

lt anthonyI rode my motorcycle at 127 miles an hour. I lived in Dublin at the time, I had just gotten my motorcycle. I must have been 18 years old. I was out in Castro Valley, that big downhill—downhill all the way. It was exhilarating, it was fun, it was awesome and everything, but afterward you realize, man, if I had hit a rock, I’d be dead. Dumbest thing.

lt maryanneI’ve always been intrigued by textiles, glass, sparkly things, and I remember being 6 years old and in the garage, and my mother had a bunch of old clothes stored in there. I was trying to take these beautiful glass buttons off this dress, and had this razor blade and I just ended up getting blood all over everything.

lt lorraineMy mother was explaining the facts of life to my older sister, and I was peeking through the crack of the door where the hinges were, and she casually came over and closed the door on my nose. Sticking my nose in where it didn’t belong.

lt irisWhen I was 16, I was driving a car that a friend of mine and I were in, and we were chasing a train and cut in front of it and jumped the railroad tracks. To this day, I still think that’s one of the stupidest things I’ve ever done.
