Faith As We See It
"I have faith that God will watch over her and protect her all of her life, and that He will fill her life with people that will take care of her and protect her. When she was first diagnosed as legally blind, they said that so much of her optic nerve was damaged that she wouldn't be able to regain what she had lost, and yet with lots of visual stimulation, and a lot of love and prayers, her vision seems to be slowly improving. I feel that part of this is because of the stimulation that we give her, and the whole congregation has her in their prayers daily.
"Part of her problem with her cerebral palsy is an eating disorder, and last week she ate her first pancake. It seems like a small thing for most people, but for Melissa it's a great milestone. Since she's unable to go into the nursery, we want her to feel a part of the kids, so we take her forward to sit with the other children for the kids' sermon."
