Faith As We See It
"I express my feelings by dancing. It's funny because when I'm sad, I don't cry: I dance. When I'm happy, I dance. You just forget about everything, all your worries, you blow off steam. You feel the energy when you listen to the music; It lifts up your feet. When you listen, it's like you get an electric charge. Religion is a very strong part of being Greek also. Because I grew up in Greece, I thought that to be Christian, you had to be Greek Orthodox. Some people get high by drinking wine or drinking a cold drink on a hot day. That's the same feeling as dancing."
--Michael Moustakas, center, leads a dance at the Santa Cruz Greek Orthodox Church's fall festival.
