Ten Questions for Robyn McIntyre
What do you do for a living?
I'm a writer/artist/social media enthusiast with an interest in a lot of things.
What would you be doing if you weren't doing that?
I might like to be an attorney in the field of health-care policy.
What do you do in your free time?
I get caught up on my favorite animes (Gintama and Bleach), read and research on the Internet and volunteer. I spend time with friends and give attention to my tweenie dachshund, Buffett.
What brought you here?
The artistic community, the geographic diversity (mountains, ocean and farmland!), the generosity of spirit and general liveliness of the place.
What's your favorite street?
Third street in L.A. because I remember taking Angel's Flight (the funicular) up the side of the hill to visit my great-grandmother. I loved the juxtaposition of the Victorian buildings and funicular with the busy modern traffic.
Name something you're excited about.
Using social media to do good.
Name a pet peeve.
Misplaced apostrophe's (LOL).
What are you reading?
I'm now reading Made to Stick by Chip & Dan Heath, rereading Swords and Ice Magic by Fritz Leiber and The Roominghouse Madrigals by Charles Bukowski.
What's the most important thing you've learned in the last three years?
The only real thing I have control over is my attitude.
Recent personal food trend?
Last night I warmed up a glazed donut and put crispy bacon bits and a little maple syrup on top. Wasn't bad, but I don't think it's going to be a trend for me.
