Ten Questions for Kristen Cederquist
Shut up--the jammin' genius behind Serendipity Spreads is NOT reading Julia Child's 'My Life in France'! Or is she? Read on.
What do you do for a living?
Co-own Serendipity Saucy Spreads with my mom.
What would you be doing if you weren't doing that?
I'm not sure because I'm doing what I love and a year ago I had no idea I would be starting a jam business.
What do you do in your free time?
Free time? I'm always thinking about jam and trying to come up with new seasonal flavors even when I'm not "officially" working. I never know what will inspire me.
What brought you to Santa Cruz?
Summers. I loved it so much I decided to attend UCSC and then stayed.
What's your favorite street?
Seabright.
Name something you're excited about.
Food and flavors.
Name a pet peeve.
Incompetence.
What are you reading?
My Life in France, by Julia Child.
What's the most important thing you've learned in the last three years?
You never know where life will take you and what's in store.
Recent personal food trend?
Apples and cranberries.
