What do you think the role of public art is, or could be, in our community?

lt johnThe art in this community that we have, [like] Tom Scribner’s statue, is a gathering place—as is a lot of the fine sculpture. I think it’s a part of the community that brings us all together, and I hope that we have a lot more of it.

lt katiI think music being a form of art is a statement and reflection of our community—being able to bring a diverse sound which brings in a lot of color, which brings in a lot of different artists. So I think it really brings a lot of culture, which is powerful.
