What do you think about the fact that 20,000 Santa Cruz residents commute over the hill?

lt 1guntherI think Santa Cruz is still a bit of a beach town, and that means you have to commute to work, unless you turn it into a metropolitan area like San Francisco. If you tried to build 20,000 jobs in Santa Cruz it would be insane. I think it’s OK that people commute.

lt 2nateSanta Cruz is a beautiful place to live so people are going to choose to live here. But if you are trying to live here, I feel like you sort of have to go over the hill to find the jobs that will allow you to live the lifestyle you want to live in Santa Cruz.

lt 4debraI think people just need to be around the beauty and they are willing to live here in order to do that. I live in Santa Cruz and I commute to Los Gatos.
