My favorite street performer goes back a few years, when I first moved to Santa Cruz, it’s Tom Scribner. And a relative of his was a student in one of the classes I taught maybe 15 years ago.

Frank Lima [The Great Morgani]. He’s just a nice guy, and he’s very creative.

The Great Morgani would be my favorite. He’s been here for so long and he’s just so good. People love him and he adds a flavor to the Pacific Avenue shopping area that doesn’t exist without him.

I like it when the Shady Groove/China Cat crew comes down and plays for the lovely people of Santa Cruz on a Farmers’ Market Wednesday. That is a beautiful, quintessential downtown Santa Cruz music scene.

The Great Morgani, but aside from him the gentleman that plays the hang drum in front of Logos, which reputedly they only made a limited number of first but had to make more to supply increasing demand.
