The 2014 Santa Cruz County Readers’ Poll
Come on in, and have a look around. There’s a lot to see—hundreds of winners selected by thousands of GT readers across Santa Cruz County. So if some of this looks familiar, it’s probably because you helped make it happen. But there are always new things to discover, too—you could go to a different winner or runner-up every day in the Food and Drink category alone, and you’d be booked just about until next year’s Best of Santa Cruz County issue comes out.
And that would still leave hundreds of great shops, clubs, art and more to explore. To provide a window into some of these winners, you’ll find dozens of spotlights inside, with interesting and fun facts about the people, places and things that got the nod in our balloting. And there’s a lot to discover in the Critics’ Picks, as well—find out what Santa Cruz puppy is the cutest, who’s the most devoted Santa Cruz Warriors fan, which local person will be president in 2024, and a lot more (including my longtime obsession with which totally inappropriate songs should be programmed into the downtown bells).
