Existential Worlds, the second offering in the current Santa Cruz Symphony season, is a “contrast of internal and exterior worlds.” The program features Clair de Lune, perhaps the most well-known of all of Debussy’s music; Schubert’s Unfinished 8th Symphony; Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1, featuring Klein Competition Grand Prize winner Zlatomir Fung (pictured), and Arturo Márquez’s “fiery and soulful” Danzón No. 2, a piece that brought the composer international attention.
