Twenty-one years ago, New Leaf Community Market co-owner Scott Roseman started a simple program that would allow local businesses to support people in our community living with HIV. He called it BizAID. Every year since, participating businesses either donate a specific amount or commit a certain percentage of their sales in the 10 days following Thanksgiving to the Santa Cruz Aids Project. Look out for posters in storefronts that distinguish participating businesses during the week of Nov. 25 – Dec. 5. For more info, visit scapsite.org.
