One wash and my skin actually felt smoother. One scrub and my flaky skin dissipated. One slathering of sunscreen/moisturizer and I was hooked. Sonya Dakar’s new organic skin care line is heating up the green product field. The celebrity-friendly products by facialist to the stars, Sonya Dakar, have always been a favorite of mine. But with such steep prices I was never able to keep the products stocked in my bathroom. Recently, I received some samples which I used up in a mere three days.
And so, for those three days, my skin looked noticeably different. In the past, I was a die-hard fan of the original Sonya Dakar line, but now trying this green line, I’ve found that it seems to work just as well, if not better. The Silver Clarifying Wash, geared toward acne-prone skin, scrubs away dirt and leaves a smooth finish. It’s a stand out product for anyone whose skin feels jaded by other products that don’t work or strip the skin of moisture and leave it a peeling mess. The Sensi Wash for sensitive skin is just as effective. (My only complaint is that it seems like you need to use a quarter-size dollop to really have enough product to clean your face. This might be fine for some, but with the high prices, I found that to be somewhat annoying, as you’ll go through product rather quickly this way.) The Detox Micro Scrub is gentle and effective, and the Daily Face Shield sunblock instantly soothed my skin. Overall consensus: If you can afford it, an investment in this line of green products is well worth it. If the budget is tight, even consider investing in just one item of the line. I think even one product will make a difference in your skin.
