Hidden at the center of the Seascape Village retail shops, Seascape Foods offers beach gear, basic groceries, local products, and gourmet food to go that can join you at beach or for a round of golf.
In the morning, enjoy a coffee drink with breakfast burritos and omelettes. The fresh house-baked muffins are always delicious. Recently, a sweet surfaced Strawberry Muffin ($2.50) with a crinkled brown crust divulged bubble gum-colored berries from its hearty interior.
A wealth of salads ($7.99 to $10.99 per pound) was displayed in the case at lunchtime including marinated tofu or gigante beans, carrot, and antipasti with roasted tomatoes. Green salads such as Greek and Caesar are also available. Entrées of Tri-tip Lasagna, Baked Mac and Cheese, Vegetarian Lasagna, and fat, sauced enchiladas waited in thick casserole dishes.
You can build your own sandwich from a multitude of ingredients, or enjoy special panini and wraps. The Tuna Melt Panino ($6.95) featured tasty tuna with carrots and green onions that wasn’t over-dressed and embellished with produce and flavorful Swiss cheese. The Seared Chicken Panino ($6.95) was layered with smoked Gruyère, tomato, spinach, red onion and pesto aioli.
The Pesto Chicken Lasagna ($6.50) was amazing. Three layers of pasta 
separated layers of tender, chunky shredded chicken and ricotta with dabs of marinara. The final thick layer of marinara, rich and aromatic with oregano, fresh basil and stewed tomatoes was topped with mozzarella, which melted lusciously in the microwave.
White Sea Bass Curry ($8.41) in a turmeric-colored sauce was generously laced with caramelized onions, shredded carrots, and flaky, firm and meaty snow white fish.
Although the deli was out of its famous Banana-Chocolate Bread Pudding ($3.75), the day’s Fruit Crisp ($4.25) featured thinly sliced, tart, skin-on apples topped with spiced whole-oat crumbles and crunchy sugar. | KP
