Silver Mountain Winery’s Harvest Festival
Harvest has started in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and crush has started at Silver Mountain Winery. Celebrate the Revered Grape from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday Oct. 5. Tour the winery, see crush in action, browse artisan gifts, and wine taste from Silver Mountain’s winemaker Jerold O’Brien’s beautiful property up on the Summit. Small plates of Tonio’s fajitas will be for sale. Visit silvermtn.com or call (408) 353-2278.

Mole & Mariachi Festival
The first annual Mole & Mariachi Festival will be a benefit fundraiser for Santa Cruz Mission Adobe State Historic Park, where the event will take place. Great local food will be featured as well as wine and beer, live music, dancers, artisan crafts, and, best of all, some delicious traditional Mexican mole made by local chefs. There will also be kids’ activities, a silent auction and more.  Mole dishes will be judged by attendees and by local celebrity judges. Admission to the Mole & Mariachi Festival is free—with donations welcome. The new festival highlights the comeback of Mission Adobe State Historic Park, which was scheduled to close in 2012, but was saved by Friends of Santa Cruz State Park. Santa Cruz Mission Adobe State Historic Park, 114 School St., Santa Cruz, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. For more information visit thatsmypark.org or call 429-1840.

Farm-to-Table Dinner at Chaminade
The last in the summer series of farm-to-table dinners will be on Friday, Oct. 11. Starting with hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m. and then dinner at 7 p.m., this event will feature ingredients from Field to Feast and Route 1 Farms. Summit to Sea wineries will be featured so it’s guaranteed there will be some splendid wines to enjoy on Chaminade’s beautiful outdoor patio. Visit chaminade.com or call 475-5600 for more information.

Santa Clara Valley Fall Passport Weekend
Wineries of the Santa Clara Valley are celebrating Fall Passport on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 5 & 6. This includes barrel tasting, barbecues, antipasti, winery tours, special discounts, music and more. Cost is $30. Visit SantaClaraWines.com for more information.

Hotel Paradox Features Flamenco Guitar Wednesdays
