.Santa Cruz City School District Recognized for AP Classes

Santa Cruz City School District has been recognized by the College Board with a place on its Advanced Placement Achievement List for increasing student access to AP classes. From 2008 to 2010, the number of Santa Cruz City School District students taking the college-level courses has increased from 263 to 337, while the district has maintained the percentage of students getting a score of three or higher at 77 percent. High school students who achieve a score of three or higher on AP exams can often earn credit from colleges. Santa Cruz City School District is one of fewer than 400 districts in the nation being honored.
