The Sea Dubs are back in town and face the Los Angeles D-Fenders tonight at 7:30 at Kaiser Permanente Arena. They went 3-2 during their road trip and look forward to playing seven of their next nine games at home.
The Warriors dropped their first away game at Reno before winning the next two in Bakersfield. They finished up the five-game road trip by splitting games in Los Angeles.
Santa Cruz has experienced some roster changes since they were last in town. Most notable is the addition (again) of center Dewayne Dedmon, who was waived by Golden State. Santa Cruz also added forward Orion Outerbridge. Hilton Armstrong received a Gatorade Call-Up from Golden State and is no longer with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
Perhaps the highlight of the road trip was the Sea Dubs incredible comeback from 18 points down in the fourth quarter in Bakersfield. Local fan favorite Kiwi Gardner poured in 23 points during just nine minutes down the stretch to lead the Warriors to an eventual 112-106 win.
Tickets are still available for tonight’s contest, which will feature special red jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game. All of the proceeds will go to the Salvation Army.
