.What’s the difference between a terrorist and a freedom fighter?

lt_tracyI’m not sure there is a difference between the two. I think they’re both fighting for what they think is right for their people, tribe, culture, or whatever it is they’re fighting for. It’s the marketing. Terrorist versus the freedom fighters, which sounds better to you?

I think a freedom fighter is fighting for reasons that are more similar to the early Americans fighting in the revolutionary war. Fighting for freedom from tyranny, from unfairness from injustice. And I think most humans can understand what’s right and what’s wrong, what’s moral and what’s immoral. Terrorists fight for personal gain, for ideology that they believe supersedes everyone else’s rights. Their reasons are not pure, righteous or moral.

I guess the freedom fighter is on the right side of our history, of America’s history, and whoever’s framing the argument. History is written by whoever wins.

The terrorists are what the big army calls the little army. And if you want to see the archetypal story of the creation of a terrorist watch Braveheart and see who you were rooting for. And 9/11 was an inside job.
